Description:

Progressive Armor Options – No longer lose the ability to have the look of kevlar or pred armor when progressing to the tier 2 and tier 3 armors.

The main advantage of this mod over one that overrides the class filter is that there are specific armor looks available for each type (less ridiculous choices to scroll through). This is the case with the current armor mods, until we get someone who can code a more robust partsfilter, I think.

– Kevlar options for torso, arms, and legs available on all armors
– Exo legs available for all armor types, even kevlar (wanted to be able to put some magic legs on guys that I gave movement boost)
– Exo torso, arms, and legs available for the WAR armor
– Predator torso, arms, and legs available for Warden and Wraith armors
– No more wild looking rookies breaking immersion and only the options that make sense for each armor.

This is a mod that adds the previous armor styles to the late game armors. It accomplishes this by adding new templates to the xcomcontent.ini

There might be a better way to do this, but this was my method of getting the armor styles I wanted to see without some of the bugs and additional problems some of the other mods have.

Known potential issues:
– If you have another mod that unlocks all armors you will get duplicates of the armor this mod adds to the content.ini (I wouldn’t use it)
– If later content is created it may not be as readily available as it would be from a mod that changes the partsfilter class. It will still be available for the original armor it is created for, it just won’t be available for the other tier armors unless the author specifically creates it for the other tiers.
– The ranger blade and the grenade launcher render just off the bodies if used on the civilian armors. They render closer in the tactical portion, but still not exact. Not sure how to fix it. Doesn’t seem to be an issue with the normal armors.
– The third tier torsos and legs do not play well with the previous designs (Kevlar arms on a third tier option will not render close enough to the torso and using the warden legs with kevlar will have crotch missing, I have no idea why they created the assets this way.)
– I plan to look at the class system they made for the AC/DLC and see how I can use the class system in future updates

If you don’t like the look of some of the armors in another class, just comment out that line on the C:SteamLibrarySteamAppsworkshopcontent268500630067484ConfigXComContent.ini

COMPANION MODS:

– Progressive Armor Resistance Options – http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=646877636
-For those that have the resistance pack, I have added a vast majority of the civilian style armors to the list of torsos.

– Progressive Armor Civilian Options – http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=631328992
– For those that don’t have the resistance pack, I have added another mod to give you access to some civlian armors. Nearly the same as the Resistance Option pack, you should choose one or the other

– Progressive Armor Less Anarchy – http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=648789483
– Removes a lot of the "out there" options from the Anarachy’s Children DLC and gives it a more traditional feel

– Progressive Armor Director’s Cut – http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=654088217
– Removes the Torsos and Legs (with an option for arms) of the original Tier 3 Power Armors. Requires another mod (Like this one or the DLC) that gives you options for those armors.

– Three Tiered Weapons – http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=648728232
– Keep the look you want with your soldiers throughout the campaign. Adds a tiered variant of all of the base weapons.
