徐州农业机械厂（徐工机械的前身）研发的机械
1957年，中国徐州农业机械厂（后改为工程机械厂）试制成功了第一台塔式起重机。在当时的艰苦岁月下，徐工没有专门的设备，只有万能的工人，历经三个多月的试制过程，终于在1957年8月4日试制成功，并投入批量生产。这台起重机的成功试制，填补了中国起重机制造的空白，为中国的工业化进程做出了重要贡献。

Machinery developed by Xuzhou Agricultural Machinery Factory (predecessor of XCMG Machinery)
In 1957, Xuzhou Agricultural Machinery Factory (later renamed as Engineering Machinery Factory) in China successfully developed the first tower crane. In the difficult times at that time, XCMG did not have specialized equipment, only versatile workers. After more than three months of trial production, it finally succeeded in trial production on August 4, 1957 and was put into mass production. The successful trial production of this crane has filled the gap in China’s crane manufacturing and made important contributions to China’s industrialization process.
In 1958, according to the Xuzhou Daily, the quality of a six ton tower crane reached international standards
