HISTORY
The Battle of Kalach-on-Don (July 23 – August 11, 1942) – fighting in the big bend of the Don between the 6th Wehrmacht Army and the forces of the Soviet Stalingrad Front. As a result of two weeks of fighting, units of the Wehrmacht defeated the 62nd and 64th armies.
