Forge Constraint – Perfect, No-Shake Welds
Forge Constraint is a tool that is designed to address the shortcomings of welds, and is designed to operate like the weld tool, rather than smart weld or other group welders.
This tool creates perfect, mesh combined constraints, ensuring that everything you Forge together will have no shake, jitter, or other artefacts caused by GMod constraints being awful.
Compatible with Undo, Remover Tool, and Prop Resizer, Forge also fixes many of the problems with Physical Parent and Polyweld, such as having problems picking up props and duplicator incompatibility.
For best use of Forge, create your forged props first, and then apply other constraints afterwards. If props that you try to forge already have constraints, then Forge will try to retain them. This process can sometimes fail though, so applying other constraints afterwards is the safest method.
Forge CVars:
sbox_forge_maxcomplexity <number> / This sets the maximum number of polygons/coords allowed on a forge constraint, and can be lowered if lag becomes a problem. Default is 5000.
sbox_forge_unlimited <1/0> / Set to 1 for no limits on the number of polygons/coords allowed.
