Description:
Description of the mod “Logical Weight Rebalance for Build 42”

Problem: In vanilla Project Zomboid many items have illogical and inflated weight, which breaks the balance of gameplay, when the player needs to carry a sheet weighing 0.002 kilograms, but in the game it is presented as 0.100 kg without real need. Why does a spoon and fork weigh 0.100 kilograms? A banal napkin has the weight of a soda can, the mod fixes this misunderstanding!

Solution: This mod completely reworks the weight of over 750 items, bringing them to realistic and logical values. Inventory and loot stacking are now much more convenient, and gameplay is now more harmonious

Major changes:

  • Small items (thread, matches, paper, all kitchen utensils, etc.)
  • All literature and mookulatura in the game (books, magazines, newspapers, CDs, etc.)
  • Tools – revised for realism (light screwdrivers, reasonable weight of axes, saws, etc.).
  • Building materials – boards, nails, scrap metal now have fairer weights.
  • Food and containers – cans, bottles, bags are now lighter, if that makes sense.
  • Other – all things that used to be “overweight” are now adequate

Why put this mod on?

.

  • Realism – no more “100-gram pieces of paper and matches”.
  • Convenience – you can carry more small things without overloading your gear at all times.
  • Balanced – loot is still valuable, but its weight is now fair.
  • Compatibility – works with any other mods without breaking them (does not change item IDs).

The mod is frequently and regularly updated – if you find items with illogical weight, write in the comments!
