Ryukyu Missions
This mod is a mission tree made for Ryukyu. Most of the missions and events are inspired by other nations’ mission trees. The majority of the tier 3+ missions are alt-history.
This mission tree includes:
- Sugar plantation in Okinawa.
- Ryukyu’s role in the international trade market as a broker.
- Rise of Sho Shin event. His stats are now 5/4/4 +lawgiver trait. His stat in vanilla was 2/3/4.
- Choosing state religion for Ryukyu.
- Diplomatic relationships with Japan, China, and Korea. + mission to conquer them.
- Noble estate and Clergy estate in Ryukyu are now called Aji and Noro.
Note about the Korea branch: In Korea, there was a saying that Ryukyu people regard Koreans as their sworn enemy because the governor of Jeju island, Yi Ki-Bin (이기빈;李箕賓) killed drifted prince of Ryukyu during early 17th century. This event is likely to have never happened and the emissary of Ryukyu was clueless when they heard of this. But I thought it was good as an inspiration.
I’m Korean and who is not so familiar with Ryukyu history or culture, of course I’m not an expert by any means and this was made only for fun. Thus, suggest and correct me if there is something wrong or that can be fixed 🙂 Thank you!
