Editor Move Tool
A tool for moving things as if you were in the editor.
Controls: Click on a dynamic object to select it and then the handles will show up, Click on nothing or unequip the tool to stop selecting. The controls for the settings are shown on the top right corner of the screen
UI:
[C] and [V] change the mode, there may be more than move and rotate in the future
When in move mode; Press and hold on an arrow or the white center dot to move the object in that direction. The white dot will just make the object follow the cursor as if you were holding it normally.
When in rotate mode; Press and hold on a circle to rotate it in that direction.
Space; this changes the rotation of the handles to worlds rotation or the objects rotation
Pivot; this changes the position of the handles to the body’s center or its center of mass (It is recommended to keep this in "Center" because it can get really weird with broken parts)
Bugs to look out for:
– The wheels of vehicles become detached when you move their vehicle. But don’t worry, the wheels are still attached. They just haven’t updated yet, so when you let go of the vehicle, the wheels will come back as if they never left.
– Objects that are stacked on top of the object you are moving do not become awake. Which means they wont fall. But to fix that just select and unselect the floating object or touch it with something.
– Teardown joints do not have a break force or a rip force which means that to matter how hard you pull the joint, it wont break, unless the object its attached to is broken. This may be a problem when moving doors or bridges
