Description:

Once confined to the inhospitable realm of darkness, the demon race burst forth into the world, taking over kingdom after kingdom. Soon, they set their sights on a mysterious Spire towering into the sky and sent the FloraDemon, a human-like demon with the ability to control plants, to infiltrate and conquer it. And so her journey to Slay the Spire begins…

The FloraDemon is directly based on Deathpolca, the protagonist of Demons Roots. While she somewhat lacks in raw strength and power, she more than makes up for it with her plant-based abilities, growing a garden of various plants to bolster herself or attack her foes. She can also enhance cards in her hand and deck, sowing the seeds of future success. Those, alongside her Thorns, Poisons, and various debilitating effects, make her a dangerous foe for the denizens of the Spire.

• The FloraDemon, a new character ready to Slay the Spire!
• A sprite-animated character that reacts when you play.
• 80 collectable cards for the FloraDemon. The card art is… well, it exists. Some of the cards have unique VFX, though.
• 12 relics.
• 2 potions.
• For those of you who have played through and finished Demons Roots, toggle the "Enable Spoilers" option in the mod’s config settings for a neat cosmetic change on a certain card!

• Blooming Plants – Grow a garden of plants with a variety of effects such as damaging or poisoning enemies, giving you Block or Thorns, or enhancing your Strength. Certain cards make you Bloom, activating all of your plants at once!
• Nurture and Grow – Nurture cards in your hand and deck, enhancing them with a variety of effects based on their type and cost. Whether it’s enhancing your damage, increasing your durability, or giving you more cards to play, you’ll surely reap the benefits of the seeds you sowed.
• Thorns – Like any rose, the FloraDemon has potent Thorns that will make enemies think twice about attacking her. Gain large amount of Thorns and activate them on enemies to take them down before they can strike, or enhance your Thorns with a variety of potent effects.
• Debilitating Effects – From Poison to Weak to reducing Strength, the FloraDemon has a variety of ways to curb the enemy’s onslaught and take them down indirectly.

Thanks to those on the Slay the Spire discord, as well as those who made all the tutorials and resources for STS modding. This is my first mod both for Slay the Spire and in general, and I couldn’t have done it without the help.

Thanks as well to those who helped me playtest and balance the mod. It’s come a long way from the broken state it started in!

And thanks to Akai Mato for creating Demons Roots, and for sending me an image asset over Twitter DMs that I couldn’t find in the game’s files.

Visual assets are taken from the files of Demons Roots, various google image cliparts, recolored Slay the Spire art, or drawn poorly by me. Also, I copied and pasted some code snippets from various other mods for certain functionality, such as BetterAnimation, Downfall, and Packmaster.
