Buffed Equites Extraordinarii and Armoured Lancer
Hello! I’ve never uploaded a mod before and this is my first attempt at one.
Relatively simple patch, attempts to make the Socii Equites Extaordinarii closer to the Etruscan Italian Noble Cavalry. Changes as follows are
– Increased Melee Attack
– Increased Charge Bonus
– Increased Armour (NOTE, this mod increases the value of all BRONZE and BRONZE_ELITE units in bulk. I couldn’t individually set the armour unfortunately)
– Increased Dismounted Stats
– Increased Morale, unit now has ‘Well_Trained’
– Unit may adopt flying wedge. I’ve looked in the files and there’s actually in my opinion, evidence to suggest this was an oversight by CA. Socii Equites DO get this ability, whereas the Extraordinarii, who themselves are ELITE cavalry, do not even have a single ability slot. Now you can use your wannabe Western Roman Cataphracts to crush your foes!
I did touch up the Sarmatian Armoured Lancer a LITTLE bit, it’ll have slightly increased armour with better morale and melee attack from my memory. Otherwise it’s not quite as drastic. I didn’t touch the cost, though I can appreciate it should PROBABLY cost around 1000 now. Have fun!
