Description:
The story

World War I broke out in Europe! Building a great and reliable transport network is the key to victory. Conquer rival territory by transporting soldiers and weapons to the battlefronts, and defend your own cities from their attacks. Good luck!

The map
  • The game starts on July 28, 1914: the start of World War I
  • Very Large 1:2 map covering most of Europe (from London to Constantinople)
  • Hand-painted map

Several typical features:

  • New supply chain: weapons
  • New supply chain: soldiers (Use cargo stations, not passenger stations! And use passenger vehicles)
  • New industries: weapon factory, battlefront, military base, and small adaptations to the iron ore mine, coal mine, steel mill and goods factory.
  • Tanks (original 3D by zaripov rustem) and soldiers
  • Several sound effects

The game
  • You play either on the Central or the Allied side
  • The map is divided into regions; one for each city. A region is either yours, or the opponent’s. You are not allowed to construct, destroy, or operate vehicles in rival territory.
  • At the start of the game, there are 14 allied and 14 central cities. It is your task to conquer all rival cities, and protect your own cities from their attacks.
  • Attack cities by transporting soldiers and weapons to the battlefront. The opponent will also attack you!
  • When you or the opponent start attacking the battlefront, you will be given a quest to transport enough soldiers and weapons to tje battlefront before a certain date. If you succeed, you conquer the rival city. If you lose, you lose your city.
  • No game is the same: industries are randomly chosen at the start of the game, as well as your side (allied/central). The opponent’s attacks are also random.

As this game can be quite challenging, here are some tips that might help:

  • Make sure you connect enough military bases to the battlefront. I would say at least 3.
  • If you are being attacked, you don’t necessarily have to fight back. Another strategy could be to give up on the city that is being attacked, and attack another one yourself that is closer to your weapon factory.
  • Industries are randomly placed at the start of the game. If the industries happen to be placed very far apart, you can of course restart the game and hope for a better scenario. I also think that playing for the central forces is a little bit easier than the allied forces.
  • The opponent attacks you a couple of days after the start of the game. You can wait until he attacks one of your cities before you start building your transport network. Knowing which city you have to defend might give you an advantage.

The author

I like to make Transport Fever maps that tell a story. I do research, make scripts and build new models specifically for a map. By combining all this, I try to give the map a certain typical feel. I am therefore not interested in releasing parts of these mods separately: I feel that the parts are stronger together.
