ABOUT

This VScript modifies multiple ConVars to make Common Infected significantly more effective. Includes tweaks to the Common Infected’s AI behavior and response timing.

FEATURES INCLUDED IN THIS ADDON

• Common Infected now have slightly more health (from 50 to 75).
• The limit of Fallen Survivors has been increased (from 1 to 2).
• The total limit of Common Infected has been increased (from 30 to 45).
• Minimum horde size increased (from 10 to 15).
• Maximum horde size increased (from 30 to 45).
• Common Infected vision range has been significantly increased in all aspects.

The following ConVars have been modified for faster and more efficient NextBot updates: • nb_update_frequency changed to 0.05 (default is 0.1) • nb_update_maxslide changed to 0 (default is 2) • nb_update_framelimit changed to 30 (default is 15) • nb_goal_look_ahead_range to 800 (default is 50)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does this work on official servers?

No, this is a VScript, which requires you to play in singleplayer or on a local server for it to function properly. No, other players do not need to have it installed for it to work.

Does this work in Versus mode?

Yes! In fact, it’s specifically designed with Versus mode in mind. Just remember that you must be the local host of the server in order for the VScript to function correctly. See this guide to see how to enable addons in versus mode [How To Enable Addons In Versus.]

Is this compatible with other VScripts that modify AI?

Most likely not. This script is 100% incompatible with other VScripts that also modify ConVars related to AI or infected behavior. It is strongly recommended that you use this VScript alone, without any other AI-modifying scripts for Special or Common Infected.
