Five Ruler Traits 1.37
This simple mod will change rulers to be able to have up to 5 traits, and lowers the required years of ruling for the second trait to 5 and every 10 years after that, meaning rulers gain traits at a minimum age of 15, 20, 30, 40 and 50.
Requires the Rights of Man DLC (comes with the base game as of 17/10/2024) as the traits are a feature. For patch 1.37 "Inca" (Wings of Change) but should work with lower game versions and also future updates unless Paradox makes any changes to the files affected.
It’s far from perfect as there’s a little bit of overlapping on the court screen even after having moved the trait system, and I’m not quite sure how to reduce that, but it shouldn’t be too irritating. Other windows showing ruler traits such as the ledger and the custom nation setup will not show the two extra slots properly.
Additionally, there may be times where rulers will gain traits every month ignoring the years of ruling requirement, and this likely has something to do with how the game works (or doesn’t).
