Description:

Interurbans‘ were a type of train that ran on the street in cities, but ran at high speeds on their own right of way in between. They vanished in the USA by the 1960s, but now you can give these unique trains a second life in your own republic! They combine the high top speeds and reliability of mainline trains with the flexibility and affordability of trams, making them great for medium capacity routes. Use them to whisk rural citizens to school, bring tourists to your hotels, or simply get people to work, all without needing to fit new railroad tracks into existing cities.

Like my work and want to show support? Don’t donate to me, donate to the hard working volunteers at the East Troy Railroad Museum[www.easttroyrr.org] and the Illinois Railway Museum[www.irm.org]! I’ve put dozens of hours into this mod, they’ve put thousands of hours into preserving the real life equivalents. This mod would not have been possible without them.

Special thanks to Steve Thomas at the East Troy Railroad Museum for helping me with images.
