Prominence Mod Pack
This is a collection of mods by Prominence for Horizon’s Gate. Though all of these mods function independently, they are designed to complement one another as well. Each mod can be added to an existing playthrough of Horizon’s Gate, with no need to start a new game. That said, I strongly encourage you to complete the base game before making heavy use of my mods. The encounters, puzzles, and challenges within my mods are most approachable with the background knowledge gained by completing the base game.
MOD LOAD ORDER: In general, my mods are pretty forgiving with mod load order. I would place Elite Passives and Difficulty Indicators at the very bottom, and then Class Academy right above them. Then there’s one other thing to consider. Do you want to make Heartwood, Bloodstone, Gossamer, Xochitl, and/or Yore scythes, twinblades, throwing axes, javelins, croziers, and amulets? If so, make sure that you put the resource mods above the item crafting mods. To sum it all up and be extra safe:
- Heartwood, Bloodstone, Gossamer, Xochitl, Yore (these are the five crafting resource mods), and every other mod not on this list
- Class Academy, Delirium, Forgotten, Javelin Crafting, Kestrel, Zenith and Nadir (these are the item crafting mods)
- Elite Passives and Difficulty Indicators
INITIAL WORLD MAP GENERATION: The first time you leave Storm Cove, the game generates the world map. If you have all of my mods loaded, you should expect this to take a bit of time. The game may even appear like it’s not responding. I advise patience. Let the game load, even if it looks like it isn’t.
A note about excess EXP: The EXP slider, unlocked by beating the game, is worth considering when using my mods. If you want to retain a balanced experience into the normal end game, you may wish to reduce your EXP gain, depending on how many mods you interact with. Grinding has always been possible, even in the base game. But my mods do add a lot more sources of EXP. To do this, use the XP multiplier found in the options menu after beating the game. If you haven’t beaten the game yet, this mod unlocks it for you anyway.
