Description:

This lovely mod removes the modifier that drains control as a result of having cities, provided you have the Republican Legacy tradition (or parochialism).

I also removed the pesky and peculiar -20 opinion modifier Republican vassals have of you as well.

This should be compatible with any mod, provided it doesn’t change the Republican Legacy tradition, which I don’t think any exist.

If the mod breaks or you want to recreate it, you have 2 options:
Option A – new mod)
Make a new mod (in the launcher, under all installed mods, click create new mod, gave it a name, a folder name (what you put what the mod part) and then find that mod folder you made (you can click the 3 dots in the All installed mods section).
Find the CK3 Steam file (there is guides to do this, but you’re in the right place if there is a "common" file)
Go to common>culture>traditions>the file named realm traditions and copypaste it
Go back to your mod folder, create a folder in it called "common" then inside that "culture" then inside that "traditions" and paste the realm traditions file in there.
Locate and find the "parochialism" or "republican legacy" part and delete everything that isn’t inside the curly brackets so you have just the section on parochialism.
Find "cities_decrease_control = no" or (or something along those lines) and change it to no.
You can do the same for the -20 vassal opinion modifier.
Save the file
Enable the mod in your playsets.

Alternatively:
Option B – restore)
Locate the realm traditions file of the base game using the step for it above.
Locate and isolate the parochialism/republican legacy tradition inside the brackets
Go to all installed mods, click on the 3 dots next to this mod and "show in files"
Navigate to my modified realm traditions file
Paste in parochialism/republican legacy
Find "cities_decrease_control = no" or (or something along those lines) and change it to no.
Same for the vassal opinion modifier.
You now have city control drain gone for all traditions.
