Description:
This mod replaces the existing mercenary guild faction of mercenaries with different, more diverse groups of mercenary factions.

There are 8 different mercenary factions. They are different to each other in what they wear, their weapons or races.

The Dune Sailors

They operate in the UC desert.

They are supposed to be a group of peasants that are slightly stronger and help other peasants for a small fee.

They use sabres, wear light to medium armour and always wear a tagelmust.
Their stats are in the 30s and their equipment is rather cheap, so they are cheaper than other groups.

The Catan Coursers

They are a faction that is based in the Bonefields, specifically just in Catun, hence their name.

They are a tribe of people that live in the Bonefields. They are quite accustomed to them and use their mercenary work as a way to provide to their tribe and to protect the bonefields.

The group chiefs can use heavy weapons, while the rest use polearms and katanas and wear any type of armour, except for any headwear other than bandanas.
Their stats are in the 50s and their equipment is good, but for this reason they are very expensive.

Red River Ronins

This mercenary group is active in a huge number of zones: Vain, Dreg, Fog Islands, Skinner’s Roam, Border Zone, Stenn Desert, Shun, The Swamp, Shem and Sinkuun.

They are supposed to be lost Western Hive drones that decided to band together to survive as mercenaries. They are ronins as they lost their master’s influence.

They only use katanas and wear very light armour.
Their stats are in the 30s-40s, but have high dodge. They are very cheap.

Straw Hat Ronins

They are group that operates in the Southern UC: The Hook, South Wetlands and Shun.

They are taken from Ghost of Tsushima. Honestly, they are the reason why I created the mod.

They use katanas only and wear light armour.
Their stats are in the 40s and their price is fair.

Okran’s Defenders

They only operate in HN territory.

They are the replacement for the human only mercenaries from vanilla. They are like a group of rowdy and thug-like individuals who were rejected from become servants because of their slightly different beliefs and practices, if that makes sense.

They wear light armour and use katanas, sabres and hackers.
Their stats are in the 10s because they don’t really need to be too strong.
They are part of the Holy Nation and will become hostile if you are hostile to the Holy Nation.

Fragment Mercenaries

They are a shek mercenary group that operates in SK controlled territories: Border Zone, Stenn Desert and the HN only when all leaders are dead.

They are supposed to be a group of Shek adventurers that want to fight for a price.

They only use fragment axes and wear light armour.
Their stats are in the 30s-40s.Their prices are fair.

The Strida Clan

They are a clan and a para-military organisation that operates in the North UC territories.

They are a paramilitary mercenary group that lends its aid to anyone with money. The UC and TG sometimes make use of them to guard important individuals or goods.

They use katanas, sabres, hackers and heavy weapons. They also have ranged units.
Their stats are in the 50s. They are very expensive.

The Gorillo Security Group

A security company that is owned by the Tech Hunters. They operate in the Outlands, Flats Lagoon and waystations.

They are supposed to be a security company employed by anybody but especially by tech hunters and machinists.

They have different squads, light, medium and heavy squads. Their prices increase by weight.

The Straw Hats, Catans and 3Rs can be found in camps across their respective zones.
The Straw Hats also can be found escorting caravans in their areas.

I made this mod because I felt like we need more variation and diversity in the mercenaries. My whole mod making aim is to improve the base game by increase variety in what I think are lore friendly additions.
I doubt I will add much to this anymore except fixes and what people would like changed, but if I do keep working on this, I’d like to add bases for them.

Let me know what you think in the comments. Any bugs, additions or thoughts are extremely appreciated.

I do not know about any compatibility issues. So let me know.

I’ll add the pictures later.

Thanks to @Kitya for letting me use thier mountain ronin scarf resource
