Mutation Mode: Civilizations and Leaders Abilities
This mode changes the default Abilities (Traits) of the game.
By default, without doing anything, the mod will assign random abilities for your Leader and keep the Civilization’s abilities, just like the old version. Note that if you are using this version, please remove/unsubscribe the old version because the features may be conflicting.
You can achieve better random or manually assign abilities by using the following app (but it is not required to have):
- Download app[github.com]
- Read more about using the app[github.com]

The mod and its app are open source[github.com]. You can post your suggestion, problems and feedbacks there, and also contribution as well. I will make my timeline about development of other mods there.
- Auto randomly assign leader abilities if used without the app (similar to 1.2 version).
- Better controlled random and manual abilities assignment

- Profile/Seed for sharing and playing Multiplayer.
- Enable Mvemba Nzinga (Kongo) to achieve Religious Victory /s

Both the Mod and App works well with other mods that give new Civilization/Leaders. For example, I use Sukritact’s Narai and Ramkhamhaeng mods, both adding the Siam Civilization.
However, when you add/remove a mod with new Civ/Leader, please load a map so DebugGameplay.sqlite get updated. Just create a new game and when you get into the Start screen, it’s already done, you can use the app with the new Civ/Leader.
Works well with but does not require any DLC/Expansion.
- Currently unique Improvements (those that built on tiles by Builders) like Kampungs, Polders etc. are not loaded if built by different civ. They will show as a red exclamation mark on the map. It’s UI problem only, functionally it still works correctly. Github Issue[github.com].
- Sometimes the game dump an uncompleted DebugGameplay.sql, and you may see the list of Civ/Leaders in the app incomplete. Don’t worry, just enter the game, start a new map so the game can create another DebugGameplay.sql, and start the app again.
- Kupe not found in the game if he loses his ability Kupe’s Voyage[github.com].
- If you use the default version (without the app), everytime you load the map, your abilities will shown to be re-randomized, however, the actual functions are kept. This is how the game is coded (assign abilities traits at the beginning of the game, UI update as game goes on).
