The World Situation in 626 AD
In 626 AD, the Tang Dynasty had basically unified China, and Li Shimin launched the Xuanwu Gate Incident. The Turkic Khanate was split into the Eastern Turkic Khanate and the Western Turkic Khanate. The Eastern Turkic Khanate signed the Weishui Treaty with the Tang Dynasty. King Harsha unified the northern part of India and marched towards the Deccan region. The Persian Emperor Khosrow II, in alliance with the Avar Khanate, invaded the Byzantine Empire and had already reached the capital city of Constantinople. The then Byzantine Emperor was Heraclius, who was later called the "Restorer of the World". At that time, Islam was on the rise. After the Hijra, the Prophet Muhammad had already established a stable rule in the southern city of Medina. The Frankish Kingdom was under the rule of the Merovingian Dynasty, and the political situation was relatively stable.
This map was modified from the map template "The Four Empires along the Silk Road" provided by the map author Jiaqi. It basically restores the world situation in 625 AD and adds impassable plots. The distribution of wasteland was referenced from Crusader Kings III. Since the game has not yet added the function of coloring the wasteland, and people’s aesthetics for the wasteland vary, please don’t complain if you don’t like it.
This map is still a semi-finished product. The boundaries and names of some non-major countries are not accurate, and the historical ecology and rivers have not been drawn. It may not be updated.
