Update 1 Release: Sound Update!
A lot of people have been asking for a proper engine sound, and it is with great pleasure that I can finally give you that exact thing! With some help from a fellow modder (they wish to remain anonymous), I was able to track down usable samples of the original engine this truck had IRL, the D12A-525, and along with it, correct data for it and the 3 speed hydromechanical transmission it used. Do note: Using the original engine and transmission WILL NOT BE FAST. The engine has fairly low torque compared to modern engines, and the transmission, while it does have a 2.42x multiplier, maxes out at 38mph (61kmh). This is based on historically accurate data regarding the way this truck was built in the Soviet Union. It is not a bug, it is intended. The engine is also very large and therefore consumes a lot of fuel, so I have included a chassis option that has a significantly higher fuel capacity, even though it is not realistic. With the default equipment it won’t be fast and will need frequent refuelling, but this is the most realistic, as it is historically accurate. But you have the option of larger fuel tanks, and the modern engine and gearbox that this mod initially came with are still present.
With all that said, I hope you enjoy the new engine sound, it took me quite some time to track down usable sounds.
This is my first release of a mod for ATS/ETS2, a model of the Soviet MAZ 7910, brought to ATS with help from the amazing Bormann’s Performance and his team. This model is quite simple, it does not have much customization, but it is a highly unique truck due to it’s split cab design and Soviet origin. I hope you enjoy it.
TRAILER INFO: As people keep asking about trailers for this, I am aware that the truck is too large for basically any trailers around the internet right now. Trailers ARE BEING MADE, but there is no release date for them yet. When they are available, I will update the description with links and you will be able to get them for free, just like this mod. However as of now, they are still being created
