I love CK3, but has since the game’s launch felt frustrated with the map’s move away from various details and fog of war. Now though, I re-introduce fog of war to both the political map and the paper map, with various stages of the zoom levels bringing with it either names of every region, just duchies, or just realms. In this way, each zoom level feels more unique and granular, while the increased fog of war and the slightly lowered paper map brings a whole new sense of depth to the entirety of the campaign map – and makes the map function just like it did in Crusader Kings II 😀

The water has also been given a slightly richer blue color, for more vibrancy in the campaign.

Additionally, I am using MobJay’s "I Miss Imperator Map Mod" for the paper map, which I believe gives that map a much nicer color and a lot more depth than vanilla. A big thank you to MobJay for creating the mod and allowing the files to be reused! You can find that mod here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2986344513

This would not have been possible without the inspiration from Better Map Graphics by @Demonz to implement thicker borders: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3051778961&searchtext=better+borders

The mod also integrates the Simple Border Mod for added immersion, so thank you very much to 豆豆 for their great work: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2749577487

Lastly, I want to direct a GREAT thanks to @TerraPass, an incredible modder who helped me edit the CK3 files, who help me update the mod and work out errors with great patience: https://steamcommunity.com/id/TerraPass/

I hope you all enjoy it! 😀
