Mokou
Fujiwara no Mokou was formerly an ordinary human, but she became an immortal being after drinking the Hourai Elixir about 1300 years ago. Now she is the embodiment of a phoenix, and uses her powerful flames to fight. Be careful, though, as she receives a bit of damage every time she uses fire, so don’t be reckless.
NEUTRAL SPECIAL: FLAME SIGN
Mokou shoots a blue flame projectile, which deals good damage, and can cover most of Battlegrounds’ horizontally. On hit, it can be followed up due to the angle it sends the opponent at. Unblockable. Deals 4 self damage.
SIDE SPECIAL: SELF-HARMING FIRE TALONS
Mokou lunges forward a set distance, then strikes downwards. Spikes aerial opponents. Deals 4 self damage.
UP SPECIAL: IMPERISHABLE SHOOTING
Mokou does a flip. Holding up or down will heavily alter the vertical momentum. At the end of the flip, she’ll throw out a spell card behind her. Hold down the Special button to shoot a Flame Sign alongside the spell card, at the cost of dealing 4 self damage.
DOWN SPECIAL: SELF-HARMING FIRE DIVE
A burst option; Mokou engulfs herselfs in flames and dives forward or downwards, depending on whether she begins the attack while grounded or in the air. Deals up to 5 self damage.
ULTRA: PHOENIX REBIRTH
Mokou combusts into a pillar of flames, dealing up to 50 damage to enemies, and healing 20 damage.
