Wabi-sabi
This item is similar to Wabi-sabi for Troy, but adapted for Rome II.
Its purpose is to ensure that warriors’ formations appear less robotic and more human. My approach aims to infuse the game with a sense of haphazard haste and a focus on the human element, reminiscent of the early promotional materials from 2012, which emphasised these aspects before they were downplayed, seemingly to distinguish it from Attila.
I have balanced the warriors’ stances on the battlefield between the rigid formations of tabletop wargames and a more natural crowd spread that doesn’t overly prioritize precision. The formations have got wavy variations but do not look overly messy and do not impede the flow of the battle.
Unfortunately, I cannot adjust the positioning of soldiers on walls, as their placements seem to be integrated into the wall models themselves.
