A rural region in in Lithuania, lying in the valleys of Dubysa and Neman rivers. This region is host to lots of fertile lands, some hills, and forests ( typical Baltic countryside ) and of course, its not very rich and quite undeveloped, with lots of room for industrialization and growth.

What’s in this map?

Dubysa Valley is a map that replicates rough depiction of Baltic rural areas just before the Communist era, featuring many hamlets and villages. This map has lots of detail and history behind it. The map is home to ~12k people. There is enough existing infrastructure to begin playing immanently ( stores, transportation, citizen needs etc. ) offering a realistic experience. This map includes all the services and mechanics and is ready to be played on the hardest difficulty ( Realistic ) with magical importing in stores and factories being turned off. The map includes many unique cities, areas and landscapes, with every city, town and village being unique and somewhat inspired by other Baltic towns.

Features

Existing infrastructure – Roads, Railways, ports, shops, everything needed for a functional country is present

Realism – The country acts as if it was existing for many years, just like any other real life state, with existing architecture, history and economy, that would have been present just before the Communist era.

Interesting and unique places – Every town and village is unique and has its own character and purpose, from national industrial hubs, regional agricultural centres and small farming villages

Ready to played on Realistic mode – Every service is present in the republic ( waste management, electricity network, plumbing etc. ) so you can play on any mode you like

Many mods – These mods allow for a much more authentic, realistic and interesting playing experience

How to play?

There are many ways of playing this. The map in the beginning is set on sleeping mode (citizens are frozen and will not do anything ). This is done by not letting anyone wait in bus stops and workplaces. Schools and Universities are disconnected from the path/ road network, so you will need to connect them when you feel that the town is ready. You can either start in a select town and slowly steadily expand with the waking up of towns, or you can start everything at once.
