Description:

This map was originally made in 2018 for the Replayville RTSL competition, and is one of the very first Half-Life 2 levels I made. I have a lot of nostalgia for it because of that’s, and I hope you’ll enjoy it to. It’s hard as balls tho. I guess 2018 me really hated players! The chopper at the end was pretty notorious when it first came out.

Original description:

Freeman is tired of the Combine stealing all the water on Earth. He decides to take action by attacking one of the facilities responsible for the drainage, with the goal of furiously pressing a single button(which which shuts down the entire facility apparently).

The development of the map went fairly smoothly, but there some things I did not have time to implement properly. The main thing being the Chopper boss which has a bad habbid of getting stuck occasionally. The bridge was also a problem, because I figured out near the end of development that you could go up it. I could not think of a organic way to block the player from going up it, so I used a player clip.

My idea for replay value was to randomize the enemy spawns, which isn’t very creative but I couldn’t think of a better way to do it :(. The player also has multiple paths in some areas in the map. I hope this is enough to make the map fun to replay!
