NEOTOKYO Weapons Pack
"We weep for the blood of a bird, but not for the blood of a fish. Blessed are those with a voice. If the dolls could speak, no doubt they’d scream, ‘I didn’t want to become human’."
— Motoko Kusanagi

A quick project I felt like doing after Tactical Intervention. There are no attachments, no quick melee, no fancy weapon gimmicks at all. It’s a real callback to a simpler time, but at least it didn’t take very long for me to make.
You’ll find all the weapons from the game as well as several that are not normally accessible, all implemented with as much authenticity as I could give them. In certain cases, weapons have been altered or new assets have been created to improve on what was originally in NEOTOKYO. As far as possible I’ve based the stats on data from the real game.
Why NEOTOKYO? Simple – They’re cool, futuristic, cyberpunk style models, inspired by famous anime such as Akira or Ghost In The Shell, that are pretty well made and that have never been ported properly to Gmod before. The animations leave a lot to be desired, but you can’t have everything. A 2010 Source mod is certainly no Cyberpunk 2077!
These weapons are all properly predicted and work in multiplayer. They come with spawn/select icons and fully functional worldmodels. A few features I’m particularly proud of include the fact that the revolver cylinder actually rotates and the Ghost, whose wallhack effect I have lovingly recreated.
Go DarkRP with these things or something. I hope you have fun!
– What does the Ghost do?: Gives you wallhack for 40 metres.
– Can you add iron sights?: No.
– Can I use the assets from this mod in my own mod?: Sure, it’s not like I own them.
– Is this all lore-accurate?: If you really care that much, no, I invented some things myself, though I have tried to be as lore accurate as physically possible.
– Where are the spawn icons from?: I made them myself.
– What is the SMAC and PBK56 from?: The SMAC is in the game’s files, but cannot be used. The PBK56 was a cut weapon I got given by a member of the ANTP discord.
– Why can’t I reload the SMAC?: You need to expend all the ammunition in the weapon, then "reload" to convert it into a throwable bomb. Throw this bomb and you will be able to get a new briefcase.
