Pseudo embed lords/heroes in battle, AI targetting and anti-snipe ‘fix’
AI targetting is an issue, theyll spam catapults on a lord just because theyre slightly closer than the rest of the army, wasting all their ammo and time for no real reason. This mod attempts to fix this by adding a weak stalk like effect to heroes/lords when theyre near to a friendly unit and far enough away from enemies. Essentially, if a small entity lord is near a unit of small troops, theyll be hidden by the unit until an enemy is ~150m away, and if a large entity lord (horses, not dragons) is near a unit of cavalry, theyll be hidden in the same way. Dragons and other large creatures should never be hidden by this mod.
What this means for gameplay is that enemy missile troops, in particular snipers, will rarely target a lord of other single entity while at long range unless theyre significantly separated from their army (which provides its own negatives i.e. being caught out of position). Additionally, enemy AI lords will be more difficult to snipe from range in general. AI will therefore be more likely to spend its time shooting your actual units, reducing cheese available to player by wiggling a single entity in range and wasting AI ammo.
Its not perfect, only CA can really fix this issue perfectly, but its a big step in the right direction, imo.
