Resident Evil Weapon Sounds
READ DESCRIPTION, PLEASE!
Replace all default weapon sounds, except Heavy Machine Gun with these from early Resident Evil games (RE2, RE3 and RECV).
List of changed weapon sounds:
– Pistol/Dual Pistols: Beretta M92F enhanced (RE3)
– Magnum: Desert Eagle (RE2)
– Pump Shotgun: Benelli M3S (RE3)
– Chrome Shotgun: Remington M1100-P (RE2)
– SMG: Ingram (RECV)
– Silenced SMG: MAC11 (RE2)
– M-16 Assault Rifle: M4A1 (RE3)
– AK-47: AK47 (RECV)
– Combat Rifle: M4A1 (NPC sounds) (RE3)
– Tactical Shotgun: Remington M1100 (upgraded) (RE2)
– Combat Shotgun: SPAS12 (RECV)
– Hunting Rifle: MR7 Sniper Rifle (RECV)
– Sniper Rifle: STI Eagle 6.0 (RE3)
– Grenade Launcher: M79 Grenade Launcher (RE2)
– M60: Minimi (RE1)
– Minigun: Gantling Gun (RE3)
Additional info:
1. SMG and Silenced SMG seems to have the same sounds, because Capcom reused some weapon sounds in later games (from RE2 to RECV for example). However RECV sounds have better quality, so there are some differences between weapons. It also applies to Chrome Shotgun and Combat Shotgun.
2. I replaced Sniper Rifle with STI Eagle 6.0, because I couldn’t find anything better, that would suit for Sniper Rifle. And that RE3 handgun fits perfectly in my opinion.
3. This mod doesn’t replace reload sounds. On preview video you can hear custom reload sounds from other addon.
Known bugs:
1. Some weapon sounds have weird click sound at the end. I have no idea how to fix this, but it’s very silent, so you might not even notice that.
2. Minigun wind up sound ends before fire sound is triggered, so there is no sound for half second. I couldn’t do anything about that, because wind up for minigun in Resident Evil games is shorter than that in Left 4 Dead 2.
