Newbury Branchlines 1.60
Please note that this route has not currently been updated to make it fully compatible with the scenery update. You Can run the route in the latest game updates, but you will notice graphical issues caused by the automatic route conversion. A brand new update for the route is currently in development. This update will completely overhaul the whole route’s scenery and track layout. Using a collection of custom assets and real life references to create a much more accurate recreation of the lines included.

Newbury branchlines is a route focusing on the branchlines around Newbury station in Berkshire, all the branchlines have now closed in real life but were open when the route is set. The current version features a stretch of the Didcot, Newbury & Southampton railway between Didcot and Winchester, as well as the Lambourn Valley and RAF Welford Branch lines. The included timetable includes express, stopping and freight services creating a very busy line where you are almost guaranteed to pass other services at stations.
The track and station layouts are as closely based on their real life 1960s counterparts as I could manage with the information available to me. I’ve tried to include the ‘landmarks’ along the route but there are a few things (such as the tunnel just outside Winchester Chesil) that can’t be replicated with the route editor’s current features.
