Class 122 Green with Crest, Whiskers and Stripes
This a class 122 DMU in factory fresh livery complete with whiskers, 2-digit headcode, stripes, BR crest and (originally class 150) driving trailer.
The 122 was a high density type DMU built under the Western Region Dieselisation Scheme, together with the classes 116 and 119 ‘cross country’. In fact, the 122 is pretty much a class 116 DMBS with cabs on both ends.
Oddly enough many branch lines where the 122 ‘bubble car’ was introduced, closed shortly after introduction which saw them re-deployed to other regions eventually.
New: class 150 driving trailer now included, 1 and 2-car set configurations added
