Custom Combine Replacer – [HL2, HL2 Ep1, HL2 Ep2, HL2 Lost Coast]
MOSTLY SUPPORTS VJ BASE NPCS!
DrGBase Nextbots can be used but will cause softlocks.
The quality of the experience is highly dependant on the VJ Base SNPC. For example larger NPCs WILL get stuck in walls or terrain.
To do replacements, go to Utilities → HL2 Combine Replacer → Settings. Then click the type of combine soldier you want to assign repalcements to, then click Get NPC. To check what replacements have been added to a combine soldier type or to remove that entry, click Remove NPC.
This is meant to be used with maps from the games listed below. This will most likely break on custom campaigns.
Some soldiers won’t be replaced as they are vital for map event progression.
Replaced NPCs will be able to:
- Walk through most combine walls/fields
- Be dropped/spawned from dropships
- Replace most rappeling combine sequences with a teleportation sequence
- Half Life 2
- Half Life 2 Episode 1
- Half Life 2 Episode 2
- Half Life 2 Lost Coast
