Description:

The DemonX Auto-Targeting Ballistics Computer is the first and only fully functional ballistics circuit. This circuit will lock on to a moving target, compensate for it’s direction of travel, speed, projectile flight time, and then calculate the firing angle and lead angle in real time. This means you can hit a moving target accurately! This circuit is intended for use on ground vehicles or naval ships. Big thanks to Dunvillel of DL Productions for help in solving the target lead circuit.

Controls:
AD – manually move turret
LftShft – switch to rangefinder view
LftMouse – shoot
RtMouse – toggle use of Range Rate and Angular Rate of Change circuits. They are only needed if your target is moving. If target is stationary, they can be toggled off. Indicated by green or red light on back side of turret base.

Circuit Breakdown:

Projectile Flight Time (purple logic) – calculates real time projectile flight time based on range to target and known projectile speed.

Firing Angle (green logic) – calculates base firing angle using range to target and projectile flight time.

Range Rate (orange logic) – calculates the closing or departing speed of your target in meters/second. Modifies the base firing angle.

Angular Rate of Change (blue logic) – calculates the speed that your target is crossing your field of view in degrees/second. Modifies the turret heading.

Target Locking – I developed a method of target lock that will hold lock on anything more than 8 nodes wide with no servo wobble. Ground targets only. As soon as it detects a target, it will hold lock.
