Description:

This is a visual change mod that replaces all the "non-unique" Bandit models into something unique, includes their own custom texture.
All bandits are exactly the same gameplay-wise, means you can easily use it with other friends, even in Multiplayer.

Description

When I reached Everlight, I have noticed that it was "infested" with Bandits, that’s fine and all but…For one, they all had no colour except red, this is because the default color for the "Mob" faction is red, which is ugly, so I changed that with my "Dark Contrast Colors" mod.
But, for two, the models were reused RTS units. Some of it are okay, such as the Human Pikeman, he looks like a "lucky loot" bandit himself, but then you got the Infantryman and the "Guard", they didn’t fit at all.

So, with that in mind, I decided to go ahead and remake the models to make them look a lot more like bandits, with some standards and the like.

Also, there is this one model that is specifically called "bandit", you have seen him, a brown leather armour hooded man with an aged moustache, he had this wonderful cubical pattern that was a mix of very bright and subtle yellow, with some slightly dark orange-brown colour as well.
I found it great, for that, I have decided to use that as the Bandit’s Pattern.

In short; all Bandits are now semi-organized by having the "Bandit Pattern", which is Orange and Tan as stripes or cubes.

Known issues

– Pre-made bandits will not be changed.
If you have a Saved Game of the main campaign and you’re already in Everlight, the Bandits will look like they originally were. Nothing I can do.

List of changes:

Bandit Variant 1
* It is now an Orc instead of a human, comes with fitting voice and icon.
* Uses worn Bandit Splint Mail with Chainmail Hood.
* Is taller than the rest of the "Common Bandits", not too noticeable since he hunches though.
— Well, I simply wanted to at least have one Orc. He may or may not be too common, so it’s okay.

Bandit Variant 2
* Uses Bandit Scalemail with Nasal Helmet.
— Your good ol’ average Bandit, I made sure he still looks like the old "Infantryman" model.

Bandit Variant 3
* Uses Bandit Light Plate with Bandit Sallet.
* Slightly taller than the rest of the "Common Bandits".
* Uses "Infantryman" voice since it fits most with.
— This is my top favourite variant, the Orange & Tan pattern goes so well on his Light Plate armour.

Brigand Mage
* Now uses its own model instead of the "Mentalist".
* Said model is a tall human that uses a modified version of the "Wulfguard Robe".
– The armour is a ragged robe with torn out clothing, used for identification, using Orange&Black Bandit pattern colour, dark red leather, darkened slightly worn armour and worn chainmail.
* Uses a unique face, with ginger hair and beard, also has very rosy skin color.
— The idea was, simply, to make them more visible from the others, Mages are always more dangerous than the rest of the threats.

Bandit Cleric
* Now uses its own model instead of being a simple bald man with white robes.
* Said model is a slightly smaller human that uses a modified version of the "Basic" clothing.
– The clothing is an Orange&Tan stripped shirt, with a brown padded shirt with gold stripes, also dark leather and dark red pants.
* Uses a unique face, which is a somewhat younger but also rough-faced brown-haired man with a full beard.
* Has the voice that fits a young man.
— He might be easily confused for a civilian instead of a cleric or bandit, this is intentional since it would be immersive to have "Bait/Ambush" type bandits and these would fit perfectly.

Brigand Hierophant
* Now uses its own model instead of being a simple man with white robes and hoodie.
* Said model is a taller, slimmer human that uses a modified version of the "Divine Perception" armor.
– The armour is a simpler design but still intricate enough to indicate "Status". he uses a white hood for easier identification while his skirt is brown for that "Bandit Color" effect. Also has intricate details.
* Uses a unique face, which is of an aging gray-skinned stern man with an intricate beard.
* Due to his age, he has a very hoarse, grouchy voice.
— Since this is basically a stronger "Cleric", he got the most intricate loadout, so he’s much more easily visible than the rest. This is also one of the characters that don’t use the "Bandit Pattern".

Enforcer
* Now uses its own model instead of the "Champion".
* Said model is a very tall human that uses the Bandit Medium Plate and Pot Helmet
— "Medium Plate" actually looks like quite a heavy and bulky armour, especially the Pauldrons, it’s more a mixed Fantasy armour than the other, hence why I use it for this guy.

Bandit Archer [Crossbow]
* Now uses its own model instead of the "Arbalist".
* Said model is a somewhat tall human, that uses a purple-painted chainmail and a Caveleire helmet.
* Uses a unique face, with black long hair and beard.
— These guys are supposed to be dangerous because they have the ability to "Interrupt" you, hence the flamboyant appearance, so get them first and fast. This is also one of the characters that don’t use the "Bandit Pattern".

Bandit Archer [Bow]
* Now uses its own model instead of the "Arbalist".
* Said model is a somewhat short human, that uses Armored Bandit Garbs and Hood.
* Uses a unique face, with a somewhat tanned complex for skin color.
— This one can be considered as a more higher quality variant of the good ol’ "Bandit" character himself, at least armour wise, character wise it’s a younger and shorter man.

Bandit Brute
* Now uses its own model instead of the "Halberdier/Infantryman".
* Said model is a very tall human, that uses Bandit Plate Mail, has no helmet.
* Uses a unique face, with a well-kept black beard, also has dark skin color.
* Has a somewhat deep tough voice.
— He’s a "Tank", also the only Bandit that seems to use shields, so he deserves to be Big, Tall & Scary.

Brigand Scout
* Now uses its own model instead of the "Mentalist".
* Said model is a somewhat short Elf, that uses a fancy Leather Armour, with Bandit colors.
— Isn’t it weird that a bandit scout was a Mentalist with dual swords? Well, it would make more sense if it were an Elf instead, so I made it like that.

Bandit Leader
* Now uses its own model instead of the "Guard".
* Said model is a very tall human, that uses a special variant of the Quilted Armor. Also has a Horned Helmet.
– The "special variant" has a dark-steel contrasted helmet, white fur, oxidized bronze decorations, darker armour, worn chainmail and most importantly, the "Bandit Pattern" on cloak and skirt.
* Has a deep, gravel voice that fits a war veteran.
— This guy looks like a flamboyant, historically inaccurate Viking, which he deserves to look like since he’s the Leader.

Bandits that are unique only to Multiplayer/Skirmish games also have visual changes!

Medium Bandit Variant 1
* Uses Bandit Light Plate & Sallet.

Medium Bandit Variant 2
* Uses Chainmail & Nasal Helmet.

Medium Bandit Variant 3
* Uses Bandit Splint Mail & Worn Splint Helmet.

Medium Bandit Archer
* Uses Armored Bandit Garbs & Bandit Hood.
