Very Different Races
Who will win the ultimate battle of brains against brawn?
Will it be the Psilon’s one cruiser with photon torpedoes and class v shields, or the dozens of Klackon frigates with no shields? Or will one well aimed Alkari ship with 250% ship attack bonus blow up the doomstar?
Never mind the small 25% and 50% race bonuses, I changed them to 125% and 250%. Also the 25% and 50% penalty is now a 50% and 80% penalty. Let the smart be 250% smart, the strong be 250% strong, the weak be 50% weak, and the stupid be 50% stupid.
Population Growth, Food from Population, Production from Population, Credits from Population, Beam Defense, Beam Attack all have 250%, 125% and -50% options. Population Growth also has a -80% option. Command Points has +20%, +40% & +60%. Ground units marine training bonus = 250%. Assimilation power = -0.5, 0.5 & 1. espionage & counter espionage: -0.3, 0.3, 0.6. Trade Treaty & Trade Goods bonus = 125%. Diplomacy = -0.6, 0.6.
All the costs remain the same.
The final effect (as best as I can calculate it) on the races are:
Alkari:
– ship attack = 225%
– ship defense = 350%
Bulrathi:
– ground combat = 350%
Darlok:
– espionage = 160%
– counter espionage = 160%
– assimilation power = 150%
Humans:
– diplomacy = 160%
– trade treaty = 225%
– trade goods = 225%
– counter espionage = 70%
Klackon:
– production = 225%
research = 50%
– food = 350%
Meklar:
– production = 225%
Mrrshan:
– ground units marine training = 250%
– ground combat = 350%
– diplomacy = 160%
Psilon:
– research = 350%
– counter espionage = 70%
Sakkra:
– research = 50%
– population growth = 350%
– diplomacy = 40%
Silicoids:
– diplomacy = 40%
Terran:
– ground units marine training = 250%
– command points = 140%
– ship attack = 225%
I thought that the diplomatic perk for Humans and Darloks should have Xeno Relations as a starting tech, but it wouldn’t let me do it. Also, subterranean should come with subterranean farms, should it not? Again, no luck.
UPDATE: With the help of a few other modders, I did get these custom techs to work. However, we are still having problems updating the mods here, so I named the new mod Extreme Races!
