Mercedes-Benz CLK LM
Mercedes-Benz CLK LM
Mercedes-Benz was on top of the 1998 GT1 game with its CLK GTR, dominating through the FIA GT Championship. However, a Le Mans win is still elusive to the German manufacturer, and the car was not optimized for longer races. Enter the CLK LM, a new chassis with an aerodynamic body and a slightly wider profile. The GTR’s V12 engine is replaced with the 5.0 L V8 engine, aimed for a balance between speed and endurance. The car raced the 1998 Le Mans race, and later the remainder of the FIA GT season.
The car features both the #35 and #36 cars run by AMG Mercedes in the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans, racing in the LM GT1 class. One blank car and 7 placeholder cars are also available, and players can make their own liveries using the available paint parts through the "custom colors" option.
