Wilmas Cruise Control And Speed Limiter

This mod adds the option to toggle on/off a speed limiter or cruise control and increase and decrease the speed that is set.

To be clear about the differences between the two, speed limiter stops you going over a set speed no matter how much you accelerate but you have to accelerate yourself. Cruise control you don’t need to hold the throttle it will hold at the set speed on its own.

You must be in the drivers seat, engine on and over 10kph to turn on and adjust the speed.

The cruise control will be disabled if you:

  • drop below 10kph,
  • put the car in neutral or reverse gear,
  • brakes are pressed,
  • handbrake is pressed,
  • clutch is engaged,
  • any wheel is locked/skidding,
  • the engine is switched off (including when the engine switches off when switching seats, going uncon and dying etc).

The speed limiter is not effected by these so you can slow down speed back up etc to the limiter.

Controls:

Function
Buttons To Press
Turn on/off Speed Limiter when at desired speed.
Press and hold C
Turn on/off Cruise Control when at desired speed.
Press CTRL and C
Increase the set speed by one each time you press or by five if held.
Hold CTRL and + (next to backspace)
Decrease the set speed by one each time you press or by five if held.
Hold CTRL and – (next to the +)

Vehicles_You_Want_To_Disable_Cruise_Control_On
A List Of Vehicle ClassNames You Want To Disable Both The Limiter And Cruise Control on (helis are listed by default)

Allow_Speed_Limiter
Enable(1)/Disable(0) The Use Of The Speed Limiter

Allow_Cruise_Control
Enable(1)/Disable(0) The Use Of The Cruise Control

Send_Message_To_Player_If_Not_Allowed_On_Server
Enable(1)/Disable(0) Sending A Message To The Player If they Try To Use The HotKey When One Of The 2 Above Is Disabled

I have tested this as much as i can and haven’t found a problem yet…. let me know if you find anything.

I have a wide monitor so if the position of the icons is different for other people let me know…..
