Description:

The Acquisitor is a Core 1 Level 15 unlockable starter CV designed for the June 2025 Anvil community designer challenge. A mid-sized and fully featured starter, she is ready to go right out of the box but features multiple upgrades that will turn it into a solid mining / industrial vessel.

The Acquisitor spawns in at nearly maximum CPU for a core 1 and includes all the expected amenities, food processor / fridge, full medical suite, 2 large constructors, warp drive and basic shields. Everything you need to get out there and stake your claim to the galaxy.

-= UPGRADES =-
Following the upgrade path detailed in all the LCDs will give you a core 5 CV with 4 mining lasers, advanced constructors an 18-plot farm, 30k shields and a 1g lift capacity of 7.2kt on top of having enough turbines to be fuel neutral when parked in a safe area.

The two 9 plot hydroponic areas can be sacrificed to bring the Acquisitor all the way to a core 7 with a universal constructor, deconstructor and 4 small constructors on top of upgrading thrust by an additional 30% using plasma thruster upgrades.

-= PRODUCTION =-
Starting off with two large constructors production is adequate however both can be upgraded to advanced and in the optional upgrade paths there are options to install 4 more small constructors, a deconstructor or additional advanced constructor and a universal constructor.

-= STORAGE =-
Storage includes a 320k cargo, 320k harvest container as well as a 560k dedicated fuel and oxygen / pentaxid containers. Ammunition storage is a reasonable 40k. There is also a 32k container for unsorted loot and a 32k container for your trade goods. A baker s dozen of small containers round out the ship’s storage and should allow you to keep everything organized properly

-= HULL, DEFENCE & OFFENCE =-
The Acquisitor s hull is primarily composed of steel with deco and trim blocks being made of carbon. There is a smattering of hardened steel where the armor is thinnest. She is by no means a combat ship but I designed her to not instantly blow up

The Acquisitor comes standard with 4 minigun turrets and 2 sentry turrets located right next to the boarding ramp. The sentries are only active when the landing gears are deployed. No random spider or ninja raptors will sneak up on you near the ship!

Starting shields are only a little over 6k but once upgraded you have a 30k shields which will allow you to flee anything you cannot kill and be confident she will not be cored by roaming drones while you clear a POI.

-= POWER =-
The default power generation is provided by 2 improved large generators with room for 2 additional large improved generators for a total of 100kw.

-= Survival Tip #1 =-
The engineering section is insulated from the rest of the ship. If you are engaged by a capital vessel or base and do not think you will make it out then fly directly away from the enemy vessel. Keep the aft of your ship as close to level with the enemy vessel as possible.

The engineering section will chain and blow up and you will lose approximately two thirds of the harvest container’s capacity, but all your other containers, loot, and fuel should remain intact. In 11 destruction tests facing an Imerat I only lost containers or suffered damage in forward areas twice.

There are no guarantees here but if you play it right, the odds are on your side that the loss will not be catastrophic and that retrieving your ship will only require you to bring a core and a generator as everything else you need to reach a safe area will still be on the ship.

As always, I hope she serves you well and I welcome your opinions, commentary and even soul scaring criticism.

Cheers,
Kahrek Laume.
