Greetings and welcome to a new skin pack for Ravenfield.
In the midst of the Cold War, the French Army of the 1980s remained a modern, professional force, perfectly adapted to the challenges of contemporary conflict.
Far from being just any army, the French combined military discipline with a strong national identity, blending locally manufactured equipment with their own tactical doctrines.
At this time, France was not only part of NATO (although it had maintained an independent stance since the 1960s), but also maintained a strong presence in Africa and the Middle East, with operations ranging from peacekeeping to actual combat.
Some of the troops wore CE (Centre Europe) camo uniforms, metal or Kevlar helmets, and an attitude that said "don’t touch us, we’ll give you a baguette and a bayonet."
