Nura
A very outspoken lady with a pickaxe.
Despite the oversized pickaxe, Nura is relatively fast and a little lightweight.
A lot of her kit is supported by multiple movement options, allowing a lot of freedom for getting around.
On the flip side, many of her attacks are not notably fast, so mindless swinging is often to her detriment.
JAB – A 4 hit jab combo.
The last hit is considerably strong.
UP TILT – Has a 2nd swing that activates if the attack button is held/pressed again.
A DI mix-up, if you will.
DOWN AIR – It’s a pogo. Go wild.
SIDE STRONG – Holding the opposite direction makes a slightly stronger and slower attack in the other direction.
Also has a spike.
DOWN STRONG – Charging it for longer makes you slide farther.
DASH ATTACK – Dubbed "shotgun". Just a little bit of context.
NEUTRAL SPECIAL – Throws a force crystal that can be angled with directional inputs.
Extremely fragile and reacts with anything with a semblance of a hitbox.
The explosion it makes does no damage and a large amount of set knockback to any player in range. That includes Nura.
SIDE SPECIAL – Throws a dual-ended piton that can be angled with directional inputs.
The amount it stuns opponents greatly increases with how much damage they’ve taken.
If the piton hits a wall, it sticks there. Using side special near it allows Nura to grab it and launch upwards.
UP SPECIAL – Hitting the initial hit while grounded allows it to be canceled with aerials.
DOWN SPECIAL – A slide. A foot dive in the air that transitions into a roll of sorts.
During the slide/roll, Nura is projectile immune.
The slide/roll can also be canceled with a jump for increased horizontal movement, but airdodging is disabled for some time after jumping. (Instantly wavelanding would be too broken)
Pressing attack with good timing after the slide/roll transitions into dash attack.
Sliding/rolling into a force crystal picks it up and removes it from the stage.
Other interesting in-depth things I’ve found
Nair => Bair is a pretty good kill confirm.
Dash attack can be comboed out of at low percents.
On flat ground, Nspecial angled forward only is a decent reference point for how far the piton can be thrown when not angled.
Making an RoA workshop character is something I’ve wanted to do for a while, so I’m putting that to rest for now.
No, Nura is not meant to be part of the RoA universe.
She’s part of a bigger idea that I want to tackle in the future, that being get pranked i ain’t telling you yet.
