With only the third and final Mega Drill remaining, the Stino Corporation had little information about its defenses. The rugged terrain made it impossible for scouts to reach the site, but these challenges wouldn’t stop the corporation from completing its mission.
A list of requirements was drawn up for a fighter plane capable of taking on the Mega Drill. it needed to be light, fast and armed with enough firepower to turn the drill into Swiss cheese.
With six ST-37 Poltergeists built and ready for battle, the Stino Corporation prepared for its final sunrise on Gregory. As all six fighters dived onto the Mega Drill, they managed to inflict significant damage before BOTNAK fighters could respond. The sudden influx of enemy aircraft led to the loss of two Poltergeists in action, but the Stino Corporation pressed on.
In the end, the Mega Drill was destroyed, the Froggits were saved, and Operation Pioneer was finally complete.
