The ‘Assegai’ is an updated missile cruiser, based on the new hull generation.
Equipped with two RCGMs it’s task is reaching beyond auto-aim- or even beyond direct visual range, at any ground or naval target which requires an explosive early retirement.
It’s missile is slightly faster & carries a slightly heavier payload then the Javelin block-type missiles, and the cruiser itself is also much more agile, quick & lower profile – though it lacks any and all CIWS weapons & the weapon bay is basically unarmored – only being covered with hardlight shields – making the ship extremely vulnerable in close quarters.
