Universal Free Zoom
Universal Free Zoom is a mutator that will allow the player to enhance their vision with the press of a single button! No more squinting at your screen to spot targets far away, making this mod very useful for high flying pilots or distant combat. Vitamin A supplements and carrots are not actually provided.
This mutator allows you to press and hold a configurable keybind to change the FOV of your current camera view. By changing the FOV to a smaller value, the screen essentially zooms in.
The following can be configured.
– Keybind: Press and hold this button to zoom in.
– Zoom FOV: The FOV that the camera will change to when pressing the configured keybind.
– Allow While ADS: Whether or not free zoom is permitted when aiming down the sights of a weapon. If not, then zoom will be disabled while aiming.
Ravenfield uses different camera objects for first/third person views in vehicles. Because of this, if the zoom keybind is held down while switching between cameras, when the keybind is released, the other camera will remain at the zoomed in FOV. Simply press and release the zoom keybind to reset to the natural FOV.
If a weapon’s aim FOV is greater than the zoom FOV configured in this mutator, then pressing the zoom keybind may actually cause a zooming out effect.
