Union Pacific Challenger

The Union Pacific 4-6-6-4 Challenger was initially built in 1936 and owned and operated exclusively by the Union Pacific Railroad Company. The Union Pacific Challenger served faithfully for 30 years throughout the United States until they retired from service in 1962. Since then, two mighty steam locomotives have been preserved and displayed at various railroad museums.
We here at HAL Industries have always had a soft spot for famous and ground-breaking locomotives, so we here at HAL Logistics have revied this titan of the rails and made it available to research and purchase once more.
Once you research our new tech package, “Heavy Steam Locomotives,” you can purchase this unit at any qualified rail depo. It runs on standard gauge rails and is complete with independent drive trains and a coal tender.
Conquer the rails just as they did during the mighty age of steam TODAY!

Notice:
While this unit has been made fully compatible with your default rail package, due to the length and size of this locomotive, navigating tight turns or steep inclines may cause visual elements to break and, in extreme cases, derailment.
To minimize potential issues, only operate around 45-degree turns and provide spacing between neighboring rails around bends.
We highly recommend the use of this unit in conjunction with the Smooth Rail Curves mod.
