Civ VI Legacies: Sundiata Keita
This mod is designed to rework the gameplay of Sundiata Keita to be more powerful, more interesting, and more historically flavorful. Best paired with the Civilizations Expanded mod for balance purposes, one of my favorite mods which unfortunately never got around to overhauling the final batch of leaders.

Patronage of Great People costs 20% less. Markets gain +2 slots for Great Writings. Great Writings grant +4 Gold and +2 Production. Gain Great Writer points from combat victories based on the Combat Strength of the defeated enemy unit. Happy cities generate an additional +5% Gold and +5% Production, doubled when ecstatic.
Were you able to tell from Sundiata’s default leader ability that he rose to power in a war against tyranny? Neither could I! What is present in his ability is flavorful and fun but it says more about the griot culture and neglects to tell as much about Sundiata himself. My design seeks to increase the depth of Sundiata’s gameplay, highlight the most interesting aspects of his rule, and encourage the player to act as he would.
Rise up and fulfill your destiny. Live the tale that will inspire your people for ages to come and unify mankind under a divine and just rule. Should you forge an empire that brings peace, order, and prosperity, the griots will sing your story forevermore and the glory of Mali will never fade.
