Vanilla Aviation Missions
A dynamic mission system for Aviation themed missions based on the LUA architecture the base game runs on, themed and balanced according the base game.
These missions are based around the aviation spots on the game and can include:
- Passenger Transport
- Search and Rescue
- Casualty Evacuation
- Medical Transport
- Worker Delivery
There are hundreds of different mission locations many of which are dynamically generated based on map tiles, resulting in thousands of potential mission combinations.
Much like the vanilla missions the rewards and time to complete are dynamically generated. This is taken slightly further, with the distance and passenger quantity factored into scaling the rewards and time allowed. This provides a more balanced experience.
Simply activate the addon when starting a world, you will see [VAM] appear in the chat. Missions will automatically spawn. You can use the spawn command to force a random mission to spawn
Based on your mission settings the game will keep the set number of missions activated at any time, but you can always spawn a mission using
In the command line chat.
The mission content, such as the passengers, is dynamic based on the mission. This means you will see doctors with equipment, mountaineers requiring rescue, or soldiers dressed up for delivery between army bases. The missions make sense based on the type of locations.
You can customize settings for the mod to change the balance, these include:
- Display of the timer and reward values
- Whether the player must be nearby the mission location for the mission to spawn
- Whether missions will fail if a passenger becomes incapacitated during the mission
You can customize what locations to receive missions for, including:
- Helicopter landings
- Off-Field landings
- Airport landings
