Description:

Named for ‘clipping’ the wind, not ‘clipping’ the depot
(It does clip the depot something fierce)

In the 1800s, the fastest ships on the water were the clipper chips. Sleek hulls and square rigged sails gave these ships immense speed.

Build in competition with each other for the lucrative trade routes, clippers increased in speed throughout the 1800s.

This clipper model is an amalgamation of two ships from different periods. The 1850s Flying Cloud and 1880s Cutty Sark.

Clipper ships stayed in trade and other routes remarkably late, with some still operating the tea routes as late as the 1930s. Some were still knocking about in the 50s. Nowadays, clippers are reduced to static displays, or new builds for leisure.

This mod includes:
Tea Clipper
Transatlantic Clipper

I plan to add more clippers and other ships over time, using the assets created for the initial boats. By changing the sail layout and hull shape, many other ship types can be attained, so keep an eye out for new sailing ships popping up in your game.
