Description:

This mod is the definitive vanilla experience. It incorporates the bug fixes and improvements from generations of mod authors such as Endymion, Psixi, myself and others without introducing any balance changes or anything to upset the vanilla gameplay as envisioned by the developers, and is ideal for HUC challenges (Hardcore, Untwinked, all Curses) and other community-driven challenges.

Features:

– The level randomizer for bosses always picks the highest level, to make boss encounters more epic and ensure an even playing field for all competitors in challenge runs and stop randomizer cheesing. Some bosses could never spawn their high level variants due to bugs, this is fixed.

– Fixed champion and hero monsters who had their abilities configured incorrectly from typos or lacked the energy pool to use the abilities they had been assigned. You might notice that heroes have more abilities now, as they were intended to.

– The guardian shrines during the encounter to obtain the Hand of Balance inside the Sphinx in Giza now properly summon monsters to challenge you instead of having 2 of the 4 shrines bug out and not do anything.

– Incorporates Unique Quest Items by Catnyss, a redesign that shrinks down oversized quest items from the expansions so that they take up less inventory space. Atlantis was notoriously inefficient with inventory space.

– The "Maul" skill for wolf pets now does base melee damage again like it is supposed to. It got bugged in an update.

– The "arc of attack" bug has been resolved for the Rend Armor and Spreading Influence skills.

– The "Taunt" skill now works as intended on Epic and Legendary difficulty.

– Several of the skills in Rune have had their sound volume adjusted so that they aren’t deafeningly loud.

– MIs have their own drop sound, and MIs and uniques display their affixes.

– The HC dungeon in Greece has been fixed so it no longer drops an excessive amount of energy potions or loot intended for legendary difficulty on Normal difficulty. Additionally, respec potions can now drop.

– Added tons of fixes for loot drops across the entire game, particularly the expansions. Notably, many of the legendaries in Eternal Embers were bugged and could not drop, this has been fixed.

– Added various other fixes, performance improvements, and restored unfinished content on the cutting room floor such as details in the scenery and idle animations for various creatures.
