Amethyst (Steven Universe)
Amethyst from Steven Universe for Don’t Starve Together!
This is my first mod for this game, so she may need a few updates in the future. However, I just kind of made this mod for fun, so I don’t really mind if she’s a bit OP.

Amethyst is a Gem, an alien species that does not need to eat or sleep, as they get all their energy from light. However, having been created on Earth, Amethyst still eats and sleeps for fun. She can also summon a crystal whip from her gemstone, which helps her in fights.
She comes with three skins that you can choose in the character select screen or in-game wardrobe. They are:
- "80’s Amethyst" – based on how she looked before Steven was born (part of the Roseate set)
- "Old-Timey Amethyst" – based on how she looked 200 years ago, when Beach City was a colony (part of the Victorian set)
- "The Purple Puma" – based on her wrestling alter ago (part of the Year of the Pig King/Wrestler set)
- Health: 250
- Hunger: 200
- Sanity: 150
She moves slightly faster than normal (1.2 times the usual speed) and is immune to overheating and freezing.
She is also compatible with the Gorge (Re-Gorge-itated mod) and the Forge (ReForged mod), as of 28 November 2020.
As mentioned above, Amethyst gains (or loses) hunger depending on the light levels around her. A sunny day will give her the biggest hunger gain (and a little health), with the effectiveness decreasing when it’s cloudy, rainy or snowy. She will start losing hunger at dusk, and at night time it will drop quickly. A way to combat this is with a light source such as a campfire or a torch, so be sure to set up camp before nighttime!
Food heals her normally, but only provides 25% of the full hunger value. Eating also gives her a small sanity boost.
Amethyst can summon a crystal whip from her gemstone, using a new "Summon" crafting tab available only to her. It deals the normal whip damage, but has infinite uses and requires no ingredients. It also disappears when unequipped or dropped, to prevent a ton of whips from lying around the world.
- If there are other custom characters enabled on a server and they come with custom items, Amethyst will briefly turn invisible when she attacks with her whip. I’m not sure how to fix this. ^^;
