Lawbringer – Animation Tweaks

– fixed white box texture during Afflicted/Heroic sprite for certain palettes.
– added Red + Gold Palette
– Re-tweaked Drunken Recuperation Sprite – less fat-looking and more fit-looking, removed awkward pauldron
This is a minor visual rework of every sprite and animation of the Lawbringer class that makes him go from slim to ….ripped.
A subtle result that required a mountain of work (no regrets).
The original sprite was a super awesome design and fit in great with Darkest Dungeon’s style, but I always felt it was a bit too slim for the role. This version gives him bulkier armor, a heavier frame, and just an all-around beefier presence.
Also improves (hopefully) a couple of his skill sprites/animations since I can’t help myself.
• All Sprites Redrawn: thicc


• Ad Mortem Inimicus (his signature skill) – Tweaked the sprite so it stands out a bit from his regular skills – for now its just a higher contrast red (instead of orange like the rest of his skills) with more shadows. Plus a little red eye glare idk felt cute might delete later.



• Shove – Tweaked it so that it looks more like he’s hitting them with the handle of his weapon – I always thought the original seems like he’s stabbing the enemy with the spear-tip of the halberd in a weird way.

• Igneous Amber – Sped up the animation slightly so the sound and impact line up better. No more enemies dying before the bomb explodes.


• The pauldron and loin cloth colours for each palette have been eeeeeever so slightly washed out to match the weathered look of the armor. Less vibrant more grungy. Very subtle.
