Auto Arm
Automatically manage your colonists’ weapons. They invented antigrav technology but need you to hand them a pistol? Let’s fix their priorities.
Designed to feel like vanilla. No new tabs, no complex menus, just intelligent weapon management that respects outfits, drafted states, ideology restrictions, and the rules you already know. Set weapons in your apparel policy and pawns auto equip weapons accordingly. Right-click equip any weapon to force it and pause automatic switching. If Ludeon added auto equipping tomorrow, this is close to how it would work.

Inevitably, colonists evaluating and searching weapons on the map has a cost, but these checks are cached and fast, and when there are no available upgrades on the map the mod has near-zero impact. Under normal gameplay conditions with 10-20 colonists and 50-200 weapons, the performance cost is negligible. The mod automatically scales its processing based on your colony size and available weapons for a smooth experience.
