Attempts to restore a cut Dr. Breen line present in the game’s voiceovers, intended for A Red Letter Day (d1_trainstation_05).
This mod makes use of a custom Binary VCD datafile (scenes.image) that overrides the base game’s pre-existing choreography. Specifically, it changes scenesk_labteleport05a.vcd to use a cut soundscript entry, k_lab.br_significant_cc (wavfile pointing to *combinedk_labk_lab_br_significant_cc.wav), which has also been re-implemented into scripts/level_sounds_k_lab.txt. Please prioritize it at the very top of your mod load list.
This will not conflict with any pre-existing BSP (lump) replacements you make against mapsd1_trainstation_05.bsp. It will, however, conflict with any other choreography mod that overrides scenes.image in any way, in ways that could potentially break HL2 and its episodes (including Lost Coast).
Due to a technical limitation in the Workshop content mounting system[github.com], the provided closed-captions datafile in this mod will not be loaded by the engine. You will have to manually extract the following resources into a custom mod directory from the following locations:
